This role bridges engineering expertise with customer engagement, ensuring competitive and technically sound proposals while nurturing long-term client relationships.
Proposal Management
- Analyze customer RFQs and specifications; coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to develop comprehensive proposals.
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals, technical queries (TQs), and clarifications.
- Support estimation and pricing strategies through technical and market analysis.
- Develop execution philosophies, modularization options, and supply conditions aligned with project requirements.
- Manage pre-qualification documentation for major international clients.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and support early-stage engagement with potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Sales to align proposal strategies with broader business goals.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
Sales & Customer Interface
- Ensure proposals meet internal guidelines on risk, profitability, and compliance.
- Liaise with legal, finance, and tax teams for proposal-related matters.
- Actively engage with customers to understand needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Support contract negotiations and assist in project handover to execution teams.
Quality Management
- Ensuring that all quality requirements described in the QMS manuals are followed and any changes, as necessary, are reported through change management procedure for continual improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Suitable master’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field or relevant experience.
- Professional with a technical background in PP/polyolefin catalysts, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing, technology licensing and/or catalyst sales of polyolefins.
- Previous experience in marketing/sales in an international environment
- Petrochemical/polyolefins operations/planning/consulting background is desirable
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal and self-management skills
- Capability of earning respect of team and capable of influencing others
- Interest in being knowledgeable in polymers production technologies
- Capability of driving technology development based on market requirements and trends
- Willingness for worldwide business trips, knowledge of many cultures/international style
- Accompany prospects to reference plant visits
