About The Role

The mission of the role is to ensure our partners around the world get the best and right price every time!Openprovider is looking for a Pricing & Operations Specialist to support the daily execution of pricing, financial validation, and operational reporting across our product portfolio.This role sits at the heart of the Product team, connecting financial accuracy, process reliability, and product execution. The specialist ensures that every price change, promotion, and internal report is executed flawlessly and supports data-driven decision-making across departments.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment. They love working with data, spotting discrepancies before they become issues, and turning operational complexity into clear, repeatable workflows.If you enjoy connecting the dots between finance, product, and business performance, and find satisfaction in running things so smoothly that others barely notice, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Product Support

  • Act as the main contact for Product for questions coming from Finance, Engineering, Commercial and Support departments regarding operational or pricing topics.
  • Address Slack mentions and inquiries promptly, providing full, accurate, and actionable responses.
  • Escalate to 2nd-level or product teams via Jira when technical work or investigation exceeds 30 minutes.
  • Maintain ownership from initial issue to resolution or clear handover with all context.
  • Support Product Managers with structured updates, reminders, and follow-ups on ongoing items.

Pricing & Promotions Tracking and Execution

  • Announce price changes from registries or suppliers to internal teams and coordinate communication.
  • Prepare and validate pricing analyses before implementation, ensuring approvals and accuracy.
  • Configure and test price updates in BCP (Billing Control Panel) after sign-off.
  • Execute promotions setup in BCP, validating all configurations and tracking performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing documentation and historical records in Confluence.
  • Collect promotion results and share with Product, Sales, and Finance.
  • Forward registry promotions to Sales and create tasks to ensure execution.
  • Proactively track negative margin alerts in Slack and ensure corrective action.

Financial & Status Crosschecks

  • Conduct routine financial and status crosschecks between registry data, invoices, and internal records.
  • Detect mismatches or missing renewals early and coordinate resolution with Finance.
  • Log all findings and actions taken to maintain visibility and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Product and Finance to review margins and ensure accurate cost structure.
  • Document recurring issues for long-term process improvement.

Operational Documentation & Product Process Maintenance

  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date repository in Confluence covering pricing, promotions, and validation workflows.
  • Create communication tasks and plan product communications, pricing increase or pricing communications with Marketing
  • Document operational dependencies and procedures for handover clarity.
  • Support process alignment between Product Managers by maintaining standard templates and shared documentation.
  • Suggest and document improvements that reduce manual effort or increase accuracy.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver (in collaboration with others) monthly and quarterly reports on pricing accuracy, financial health, and promotions performance.
  • Create clear summaries and dashboards to support Product Managers in decision-making.
  • Maintain real-time margin and discrepancy reports for Product and Finance visibility.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and risks and propose data-based corrective actions.
  • Support Product Managers with ad-hoc operational or financial analysis when needed.

  • Data Fluency – Comfortable analyzing reports and metrics in Sheets or Tableau.
  • Tool Proficiency – Skilled in BCP, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and BI tools.
  • Problem Solving & Prevention – Seeks root causes and prevents recurrence.

Nice to have

Industry Experience – previous experience in the Domains, Hosting, or broader Internet infrastructure industry is strongly preferred. A solid understanding of domain lifecycles, pricing models, and registrar operations is a plus.
