Designer

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Documentation

• Create detailed 

  AutoCAD drawings

  , including:
• Layout plans for automation, networking, lighting control, and AV systems
• Cable routing diagrams
• Rack elevations and wiring schematics
• Device placement and mounting details
• Prepare 

  Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

  , 

  schematics

  , and 

  as-built drawings

  .

2. BOQ & Technical Specifications

• Prepare accurate 

  Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

   for:
• Home automation systems (KNX, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Savant, etc.)
• Audio-video systems (home theatre, multi-room audio, video distribution)
• Networking & Wi-Fi
• CCTV, Access Control, and Security systems
• Evaluate product requirements and alternates based on budget and project scope.

3. Home Automation System Design

• Develop complete 

  system architecture

   including:
• Lighting control programming logic
• HVAC integration
• Shades/curtain control
• Security and surveillance integration
• UI/UX flow for touch panels, apps, and keypads
• Coordinate with brands like 

  Lutron, Crestron, Control4, KNX, Savant

  , etc.

4. Coordination & Project Support

• Collaborate with:
• Project managers
• Architects & interior designers
• Electrical consultants and contractors
• AV & automation programming teams
• Participate in site visits for measurement, verification, and design adjustments.

5. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure drawings meet:
• Industry best practices
• Electrical safety norms
• Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
• Brand-specific design guidelines

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain drawing, revision, and project documentation in organised formats.
• Provide design justification, system diagrams, and technical notes for clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in 

  AutoCAD

   (mandatory)
• Good understanding of:
• Home automation protocols (KNX, ZigBee, Z-Wave, DALI, DMX)
• AV systems (home theatre, multi-room audio, AV matrices)
• Networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi, IP addressing, PoE)
• Experience with measurement tools and reading architectural drawings.
• Optional: Knowledge of 

  Revit

Education

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Architecture, or related fields.
• Automation or AV certifications (Lutron, KNX Partner, Control4 Tech, etc.) are a bonus.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years working with 

  home automation integrators

   in Mumbai or India.
• Exposure to luxury residential projects, villas, or hospitality projects.
