The PPIC Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and control of production and inventory operations to ensure the seamless availability of materials, efficient manufacturing schedules, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products. This role is critical for maintaining compliance with EU GMP standards, especially in an Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) and General Plant environment.
· Develop and maintain a master production schedule (MPS) in line with sales forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.
· Coordinate with production, QA/QC, warehouse, and procurement to ensure optimal resource utilization.
· Ensure timely execution of manufacturing orders while minimizing delays and bottlenecks.
· Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
· Ensure accurate stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
· Implement FIFO/FEFO principles and proper handling of inventory in line with GMP guidelines.
· Develop and run MRP to determine material needs based on production plans.
· Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
· Ensure all planning and inventory activities comply with EU GMP and other regulatory standards.
· Maintain accurate records of production plans, inventory transactions, and batch traceability.
· Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits, including EU agencies.
· Serve as the central liaison between Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain.
· Conduct daily/weekly planning meetings with relevant departments.
· Communicate effectively with senior management on KPIs, production targets, and potential risks.
· Identify and implement process improvements for planning efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
· Utilize ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) to automate and streamline PPIC activities.
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
· Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory standards, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
· Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision) and MS Excel/Office.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
