Job Description – PPC Manager / Senior PPC Engineer

Role Overview

The PPC Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling production activities for agricultural products to ensure timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, and efficient utilization of resources while meeting quality and cost objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling

· Prepare and execute monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders

· Ensure alignment of production schedules with seasonal demand of agricultural products

· Monitor production progress and adjust plans to meet delivery commitments

Resource & Capacity Planning

· Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, fabrication lines, welding, painting, and assembly resources

· Conduct capacity planning to avoid bottlenecks and line stoppages

· Coordinate shift planning during peak agricultural seasons

Material & Inventory Management

· Oversee raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory

· Ensure timely availability of steel, bought-out parts, and components

· Control inventory levels to minimize excess stock and carrying cost

Cross-Functional Coordination

· Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Dispatch teams

· Act as a link between Sales / Marketing and Manufacturing for order fulfillment

· Support new product launches, trials, and process stabilization

ERP / MIS & Reporting

· Use ERP/MRP systems for production planning, BOM accuracy, and inventory control

· Prepare and present MIS reports on production adherence, dispatch, inventory, and delays

· Track KPIs and provide inputs for management review

Continuous Improvement

· Drive process improvement and lean initiatives to reduce lead time and production losses

· Implement best practices to improve throughput and productivity

· Support cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects

Team Leadership

· Lead and guide PPC planners and schedulers

· Train and develop team members for planning discipline and data accuracy

Key Skills & Competencies

· Strong expertise in PPC and MRP

· Experience in agricultural implements / heavy fabrication manufacturing

· Knowledge of seasonal production planning

· ERP/SAP proficiency (PP/MM preferred)

· Strong coordination, analytical, and leadership skills

· Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities

Educational Qualification

· Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
