Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Power BI Developer
to design, develop, and implement interactive, visually engaging, and high-performing dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to model, clean, and transform large datasets across multiple platforms. Hands-on experience with
Dremio, Databricks, or Azure Data Lake/ADF
for data modeling and transformation is a strong advantage.
Scope of Work
- Data Integration & Preparation
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large, complex datasets from multiple sources including SQL Server, Dremio, Databricks, and Azure.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Conduct detailed data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data pipelines and optimize query performance.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Build reusable semantic models and datasets for enterprise reporting.
- Dashboard Development & Visualization
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports delivering actionable insights.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs for dynamic analytics.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Apply data storytelling and UX best practices for an intuitive user experience.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and user access controls as needed.
- Optimization & Automation
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Leverage Power BI Service features such as Workspaces, Gateways, and Scheduled Refreshes.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Automate report generation and data updates using Power BI REST APIs or Azure Data Factory integrations.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine data and reporting requirements.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Document datasets, data dictionaries, user guides, and maintenance procedures.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Conduct end-user training and provide post-deployment support.
Required Skills & Experience
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI dashboard and report development.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Expertise in Data Modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Experience with Dremio, Databricks, or Azure Data Lake / ADF.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Proficiency in Power Query (M language) and DAX.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UI/UX design.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Experience with Power BI Service including workspace management and gateway configuration.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud data platforms preferred.
- p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Exposure to AI-powered visuals or AI integration in Power BI is an added advantage.
