Position Overview: The Placement Officer plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships with potential employers to facilitate job placements for students and alumni. This position involves coordinating with various departments within the institution to ensure that students are adequately prepared for the job market and assisting them in securing suitable employment opportunities. Key Responsibilities: I. Employer Relationship Management: Identify and establish relationships with potential employers, including corporations, organizations, and businesses. Collaborate with industry partners to understand their hiring needs and preferences. Maintain a database of employer contacts and regularly update it with new leads and opportunities. II. Student Counselling and Preparation: Provide career counselling and guidance to students, including resume writing, interview preparation, and career planning. Assist students in identifying internship and job opportunities aligned with their career goals and aspirations. III. Placement Coordination: Coordinate with academic departments to understand student profiles, skills, and career interests. Match students with suitable job openings based on their qualifications and preferences. Facilitate the scheduling of interviews, assessments, and other recruitment processes between employers and students. Follow up with employers and students to gather feedback and assess the success of placements. IV. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student placements, including job offers, acceptances, and rejections. Generate reports and analytics on placement trends, success rates, and alumni outcomes. V. Collaboration and Outreach: Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni to leverage their networks and resources for student placement. Represent the institution at external events, conferences, and forums related to career development and placement. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Counselling, Business Administration). Previous experience corporate connection & Placement activity in IT field (DA & DS). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities. Familiarity with job search platforms, recruitment tools, and industry trends. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management software.
