Placement Manager

NavGurukul is a non-profit organization working to make quality education and aspirational careers accessible to young people from underserved communities. Through our residential campuses and initiatives, we provide free skilling programs, holistic learning, and pathways to meaningful employment.

The Placement Manager will play a key role in ensuring NavGurukul students transition successfully into careers. This role involves driving day-to-day placement operations, engaging with employers, and supporting students to be job-ready. The Placement Manager will work closely with the Placements Lead and internal teams to deliver strong placement outcomes.

As a Placement Manager, you will directly contribute to this mission by ensuring students are well-prepared and matched with the right opportunities, while also building strong employer relationships.

• Manage and execute placement efforts across assigned campuses/programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, startups, and hiring partners.
• Ensure students secure sustainable opportunities aligned with their skills and aspirations.
• Support placement strategy execution, reporting, and documentation in collaboration with the Placements Lead.
• Mentor and prepare students for placement processes, including resume reviews, mock interviews, and readiness sessions.
• Coordinate with academic and student support teams to align training with employer needs.
• Ensure smooth employer engagement, from first outreach to post-offer follow-up.
• Use data and feedback to track placement outcomes and improve processes continuously.

• 5+ years of experience in placements, outreach, partnerships, talent acquisition, or related fields.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills, with confidence in engaging employers.
• Experience in supporting students or early-career talent in navigating job placements is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and processes with attention to detail.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Passion for social impact and commitment to enabling student success.

At NavGurukul, we value purpose and impact above financial growth, and we are deeply grateful to those who choose to walk this journey with us. Since we are a non-profit, our salaries are more modest than corporate opportunities and may involve a pay cut of around 60–80% from current compensation.
