Role Overview

Zonal Manager – Pharmacy Sales

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute the sales plan for the zone to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the pharmacy sales channel.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

2. Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales people.
  • Set performance goals, track progress, and provide regular feedback.
  • Ensure the team has adequate product knowledge and sales skills through training sessions.

3. Key Account & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with top pharmacies, distributors, and hospital retail outlets.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional activities with key accounts.
  • Ensure consistent engagement with customers to maintain loyalty and long-term partnerships.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the zone.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical sales practices.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.

5. Market Expansion & Brand Promotion

  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies in the zone to enhance brand visibility.
  • Support product launches and ensure effective roll-out in the assigned region.

Key Requirements

  • Education:

    Graduate in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Business Administration; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    3–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.
  • Strong network in the pharmacy retail and distributor segment.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the zone.
