About This Role
We are seeking a Performance Test Engineer to deliver testing services within the IT Shared Service Centre (VISPL) for telecom domains and countries. The individual will be responsible for planning, scripting, and executing performance tests across various platforms including Cloud, Siebel, CRM, BRM, and Middleware. This role demands strong technical expertise, stakeholder coordination, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement in a multi-national environment.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute performance test strategies across telecom technology stacks
- Develop dynamic scripts and scenarios using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and SOAP UI
- Analyse performance test results and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with application teams to resolve performance issues
- Promote reusability of test assets across projects
- Implement test automation improvements and best practices
- Maintain testing standards and ensure deliverables align with industry benchmarks
- Use APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics) for monitoring and profiling
- Support defect management and ensure timely resolution
- Provide regular status updates and escalate risks as needed
- Coordinate with product owners, developers, and IT operations during project activities
Who you are
- Experienced in performance testing within CI/CD and cloud-based environments
- Skilled in scripting with C, Java, VB macros, SQL, and shell scripts
- Knowledgeable in JAVA/JVM architecture and database analysis (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Proficient in using monitoring tools and analysing server/application metrics
- Strong communicator with the ability to work in multicultural, matrix organisations
- Committed to quality and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English and open to occasional travel across Europe
- Able to manage change and deliver results in dynamic environments
