Performance Analysis - O&M

Principal Accountability/ Key Result Areas

Asset Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Analyse CMAS performance data to identify trends, deviations, and loss contributors across the renewable portfolio.
• Track KPIs related to availability, PR, machine downtime, curtailment, and other performance parameters.
• Prepare insights and dashboards for O&M leadership, highlighting underperformance and required corrective actions.
• Work with site teams to validate root causes and support targeted action plans to minimise losses.
  

Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement

• Generate weekly/monthly performance reports for central O&M, highlighting trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop automated dashboards and analytics modules to enhance real-time visualization and decision-making.
• Benchmark performance across OEMs, technologies, and regions to identify optimisation levers.
• Recommend system enhancements based on user behaviour, recurring data issues, and evolving portfolio needs.
  

Operational Issue Resolution & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with SCADA engineers, OEMs, and site teams to troubleshoot alarms, misconfigured tags, and data inconsistencies.
• Provide timely guidance to site O&M teams on performance deviations identified through CMAS analytics.
• Support testing and validation when new assets, meters, or configurations are onboarded into the monitoring system.
• Document recurring issues and drive systematic improvements in alarm logic, KPI models, and reporting standards.
  

Data Integrity & System Configuration

• Maintain accurate tag lists, alarm mappings, KPI definitions, and templates within CMAS for all Solar and Wind assets.
• Validate data acquired from SCADA/OEM systems, ensuring completeness, timestamp accuracy, and consistency across all sources.
• Perform periodic system health checks and resolve data gaps, incorrect signals, or configuration deviations.
• Coordinate with IT/SCADA teams on interface issues (OPC, Modbus, FTP, APIs) to ensure uninterrupted data flow.
  

Financial & Risk Management

• Evaluate asset valuation and financial impact of performance deviations.
• Optimize operational expenses while maximizing energy yield and revenue.
• Identify risks (weather, equipment failure, grid curtailment, regulatory changes) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support financial modelling for project feasibility and investment decisions.
