Role Overview

As a People Ops Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building and running smooth people operations at Hitwicket. From hiring and onboarding to payroll and performance cycles, you’ll get end-to-end exposure to the full People & Culture function in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

• Support hiring efforts across roles.
• Run seamless onboarding to give every new hire a strong first impression.

People Operations:

• Manage payroll, attendance, compliance, and maintain HRIS/people systems.
• Ensure employee documentation and processes are up-to-date and smooth.

Performance & Growth:

• Assist in running performance review cycles, appraisals, and bonus processes.
• Track OKRs and people metrics to help managers and leadership.

Culture & Engagement:

• Plan and execute inclusive, creative engagement initiatives.
• Strengthen Hitwicket’s culture through events, feedback systems, and team initiatives.

People Support:

• Act as the first point of contact for employees, resolving queries with empathy and clarity.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of HR/People Ops experience (internships or full-time).
• Prior experience in recruitment/hiring (internships, campus drives, or early roles).
• Strong people management skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership experience in college clubs, projects, sports, or other initiatives.
• Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable with data.
• Excellent communication skills - approachable, clear, and people-first.
• High ownership mindset: proactive, organized, thrives in a fast-moving startup.
