People & Culture Manager

unique hybrid role


Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Hire strategically across full-time and freelance roles.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and alignment with company culture.

2. Culture & Engagement

  • Design team rituals, creative sessions, offsites, and engagement programs that strengthen morale and belonging.

3. Performance & Growth

  • Implement review systems, skill-mapping, and growth plans that foster accountability and professional development.

4. Compliance & HR Systems

  • Draft and maintain HR policies, NDAs, and ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, POSH, and labor laws.

5. Payroll & Coordination

  • Oversee attendance, payroll, and coordinate with our CA for filings and statutory requirements.

6. Creative Operations Support

  • Work closely with producers and directors to manage staffing, morale, and team communication during projects.

7. Freelance & Partner Network

  • Build and maintain a reliable network of external creative collaborators — from technicians to artists.

8. Conflict Resolution & Mediation

  • Act as a neutral, empathetic bridge between creative and operational teams; ensure healthy communication and fair conflict management.

9. Industry Awareness

  • Track creative industry trends, HR innovations, and workplace practices to keep the studio future-ready.


Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3–6 years of experience in HR / People & Culture / Operations (preferably within creative industries or startups).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a calm, people-first approach.
  • Balanced mindset — empathetic yet process-oriented.
  • Familiarity with HRMS tools like Zoho People, Keka, or similar systems.
  • Comfortable working closely with founders and managing both internal teams and freelancers.
  • Passionate about building an inspiring, sustainable creative workplace.


Qualifications
  • MBA or Postgraduate in HR / Psychology / Business Administration (preferred).
  • Certifications in HR analytics, leadership, or culture management are a plus.


Compensation & Benefits
  • ₹4 - 6 LPA
