Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or finance.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems would be an added advantage.
  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Calculate and review salaries, bonuses, leaves, and deductions.
  • Process payroll adjustments, including terminations, promotions, and salary increases.
  • Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure proper tax deduction for all employees and compliance with tax laws.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws, ensuring compliance.
  • Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefit deductions and ensure accurate reflection in payroll records.
  • Coordinate with HR to manage changes in employee benefits.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting:

  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts (e.g., tax liabilities, benefits, accruals).
  • Prepare payroll reports for management, including summaries, tax filings, and pension contributions.
  • Prepare Monthly Statutory Deductions and Payments Schedules.
  • Assist in audits related to payroll.
  • Employee Queries and Support:

  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee payroll history.
  • System Maintenance:

  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of payroll records in the payroll system.
  • Participate in testing and implementing upgrades or changes to payroll software.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing:

  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes as related to payroll.
  • Ensure all payroll data is accurately captured in financial systems.
