Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified Payroll Specialist to prepare all activities regarding the management of employee compensation in the company. An excellent payroll specialist has great understanding of the concept of confidentiality. You will be experienced in entering data with attention to detail and will have good math skills to make the necessary calculations. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities. The goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy.

Essential Functions

• Prepare bi-weekly payroll for assigned properties
• Assist accounting with any questions arising from the bi-weekly payroll journal and cash requirements, as needed
• Assist accounting with reconciling related payrolls accounts monthly, as needed
• Manage operations to ensure adherence to timeclock editing
• Review bi-weekly data on a regular basis and consult with controller and or Assistant Controller if discrepancies
• Is competent in payroll laws, regulations, and policies
• Excels in providing management the cost information needed for decision making
• Is very proficient in providing essential payroll information to various departments
• Ensures that employees garnishments, liens and or child support demands are processed in accordance with request
• Offers continuous and solid suggestions for enhancing profits
  

Qualifications

• Minimum one year payroll department experience
• Ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel
• Paychex Experience
• Time and Attendance experience
• Strong attention to detail required
