Job Description

Job Summary:

A Payroll Manager oversees payroll operations to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
They manage payroll systems, ensure compliance with tax regulations, supervise payroll staff, and collaborate with HR and Finance on compensation and benefits matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Oversee payroll systems, audits, and reporting accuracy.
Supervise, train, and support payroll staff.
Handle payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and tax issues.
Collaborate with HR and Finance on compensation and benefits.
Prepare payroll reports for management and audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
5+ years of payroll experience; leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Workday, SAP, etc.) and payroll regulations.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.

Work Environment:

Payroll Managers typically work in corporate offices, HR departments, or shared service centers across industries.
