Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) & Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Engineer


Sr Engineer Role & Lead engineer role

Oracle Data Analytics & AI - Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FAW/FDI)(Technical), Oracle Data Analytics & AI - Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)(Technical)

Only Ahmedabad & Chennai hybrid work mode


Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Analytics Cloud & Oracle Data Integrator specialist to design and build enterprise analytics solutions end-to-end—spanning data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling (RPD/Semantic Modeler), KPI definitions, and secure, high-performance dashboards and reports. The role includes responsibility for ETL development in ODI or any other ETL tool, OAC modeling and visualization, security design (row/object level), and deployment automation across Dev/UAT/Prod.


Key Responsibilities

1) Data Warehousing & Integration (ODI / DW)

  • Design and implement ETL pipelines in ODI (Mappings, Packages, Load Plans, Scenarios) using best practices.
  • Build scalable data models (Star/Snowflake schemas), conformed dimensions, SCD handling (Type 1/2), and CDC strategies.
  • Optimize ELT/ETL jobs for performance (partitioning, parallelism, CDC, pushdown, set-based operations).
  • Orchestrate end-to-end data flows across Oracle Fusion, ADW, OCI Object Storage, on‑prem sources, and third-party systems.
  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, logging, and restart/recovery strategies.

2) Semantic Modeling (RPD / Semantic Modeler)

  • Design logical and physical layers, hierarchies, aggregates, and time series metrics in RPD (OBIEE/OAS)
  • Implement complex business logic (calculated measures, KPI frameworks, row-level filters, data-level security).
  • Model subject areas to support Finance, Procurement, SCM, HCM, or custom domains; ensure semantic consistency and reusability.



3) Analytics & Reporting (OAC)

  • Develop Dashboards, Analyses, Data Visualization (DV) projects (and BI Publisher reports when required).
  • Build interactive dashboards, drill downs, narrative visualizations, and guided analytics for business users.
  • Tune query performance (aggregation strategies, cache, indexing, materialized views) and optimize dashboard response times.
  • Implement federated queries, dataset blends/joins, and curated semantic layers for self-service analytics.

4) Security & Governance

  • Design and implement application roles, object-level and row-level data security (RLS), and data masking.
  • Integrate with enterprise identity (IDCS/OCI IAM/AD) and manage user provisioning and entitlements.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, audit trails, logging, and compliance.

5) Deployment, DevOps & Operations

  • Package and migrate across environments (e.g.,

    , ODI scenarios, repository moves).
  • Monitor platform health (OAC service status, ODI agent and scheduling), troubleshoot incidents, and manage SLAs.
  • Document runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures; conduct KT/training sessions.

6) Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with business/product owners to translate requirements into semantic models and dashboards.
  • Lead/participate in design reviews, demonstrate prototypes, and iterate on user feedback.
  • Provide best-practice guidance for self-service analytics and data literacy.



Required Skills

  1. SQL and PL-SQL
  2. Oracle Data Integrator (comfortable working with other ETL Tools)
  3. Oracle Analytics Cloud / Oracle Analytics Server / OBIEE.
  4. Data warehousing concepts applications.
  5. Strong analytical/problem-solving; ability to simplify complex requirements.
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management; comfortable with demos/KTs.
  7. Documentation discipline (design specs, lineage, test plans, runbooks).


Good to have

  1. Knowledge/Experience in Fusion Data Intelligence.
  2. Exposure to OCI basics (Compartments, Object Storage, Domains, etc.)
  3. Certification in Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator 12c, FDI/FAW (should have at least one certification in either OAC or ODI).
  4. Knowledge/Experience working with Oracle Fusion BICC.
