Immediate Joiners Only Job Description – Oracle/MySQL Database Admin The Oracle Database Admin will be responsible for managing day to day operations Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software Performance Tuning (Query, Instance level) SQL/PLSQL Implement Oracle failover technology capacity planning Migration Standby Creation and Maintenance RMAN, Hot Backups Failover / Switch over Activities Production Support Knowledge 24*7 Oncall Streams Implementation and maintenance Replications Database Load balance issues Change Coordination Process of Deployments in Production Real Application Cluster Automated Storage Management Oracle Enterprise Manager Tablespace Management User Management Expdp/Export Utility Toad, Lab 123 Monitoring Tool Experience Shell Scripting Operating system Knowledge (UNIX, HP, Sun, Windows, etc..) Oracle 12c Oracle 11g Oracle 10g Oracle 9i Golden Gate Implementation and Maintenance Coordination with Application support Group Manage all the internal and external audits The MySQL Database Admin will be responsible for managing day to day operations Strong proficiency in MySQL database management Install, monitor and manage MySQL database. Should have Knowledge on MYSQL Replication Master & HA setup. MySQL migrations and upgrades Good knowledge of writing MYSQL stored procedure and PLSQL coding. Understanding MYSQL backup & recovery. Good knowledge of Performance tuning of MySQL database, provide workarounds and solutions Communication skills should be able to communicate and lead the MySQL database activities with application team. Manage all the internal and external audits Business Analysis: Understand existing client environment completely Analyze current business requirements Identify new areas on an ongoing basis and suggest accordingly Database design concepts Operational: Troubleshoot problems associated with database Take ownership and responsibility of queries, issues and problems assigned to the database Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues Dealing with queries by following SOPs for fault resolution Maintains IT records and tracking hardware and software inventory for areas of responsibility Develop sound understanding of IT operations and IT systems as well as business related processes and procedures Maintain adequate knowledge of all network and firewall devices used to provide a high level of support Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures Professional Skills: Good communication (both verbal and written) skills, presentation and interpersonal skills Professional image and grooming Self-confidence and interpersonal skills Analytical and problem solving skills Planning and organizing skills Good administration management skills Strong listening skills Able to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members Able to operate with minimal supervision Able to manage time effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress Able to operate within customer standard operating procedures Show more Show less
