Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee the operations of our corrugated box manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production workers. This is a key role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of corrugated box manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities within the corrugated box manufacturing plant to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and control production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of manufacturing machinery, including die cutters, corrugators, and gluing machines.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices, maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and customer requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise plant staff, providing guidance on proper procedures and performance expectations.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Prepare reports on production performance, equipment maintenance, and any operational issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, logistics, and maintenance) to ensure the smooth flow of materials and products.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics, including efficiency, waste reduction, and cost control.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or a degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related fields is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of corrugated box manufacturing processes, including machinery and production workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with plant safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work with production schedules.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management, reporting, and production tracking.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in corrugated box design or packaging.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
