Job Title: Branch Operations Manager

Location: Madurai

Experience Required: 5–8 years

Job Summary:

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch to ensure smooth workflow, compliance with policies and regulations, efficient service delivery, and achievement of operational targets. This role involves managing staff, optimizing processes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and acting as the key point of contact for operational excellence within the branch

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch ensuring efficiency and compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise and support branch staff including front-desk, operations, and support personnel.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure customer service excellence by resolving operational issues and addressing customer queries promptly.
  • Analyze and report on key operational metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with the head office on branch-level projects, compliance updates, and system implementations.
  • Ensure branch compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines.
  • Monitor branch inventory, cash management, and logistics where applicable.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and service quality.
  • Maintain and review records of business transactions, customer interactions, and staff performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in operations, preferably in a branch-based environment (e.g., banking, retail, logistics, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and operational risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational software/tools.
