Operations Director

As an Executive Director at Wells Fargo, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Middle Office and FX Operations teams across India. Your responsibilities will include managing specialized teams, developing business plans in collaboration with senior management, identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk control, and providing expertise on managing complex technical and operational processes. You will also lead strategic decision-making, interpret policies and procedures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide training and guidance to staff, and manage allocation of resources for Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and develop specialized teams to deliver complex tasks and risk services - Work with senior management to develop and execute business plans - Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control - Lead Operations management team in making strategic decisions - Interpret and develop policies and procedures - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence initiatives - Provide training and guidance to staff - Manage allocation of resources for Operations Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of Operations experience or equivalent - 4+ years of management or leadership experience In this role, you will also be responsible for strategic and operational leadership, driving transformation initiatives, overseeing trade lifecycle management, leading FX transaction processing, and managing regulatory and financial risk oversight. You will lead a high-performing team, build strong partnerships with various stakeholders, and act as a role model for collaboration, integrity, and operational excellence. Additionally, you are required to have: - Total Experience: 8+ years in financial services or related industries - Domain Expertise: At least 8+ years in Middle Office and FX Operations - Leadership: 8+ years in senior leadership roles - Technology Awareness: Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI platforms, and automation tools - Matrix Leadership: Demonstrated success in navigating and influencing within a global matrixed organization Please note that the job posting is open until 14th Sep 2025 and early closure may occur due to the volume of applicants.
