Operation Manager

Job Description:

To lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the mould base manufacturing facility, ensuring optimum productivity, quality control, cost efficiency, and timely delivery while maintaining safety standards and team motivation.

Key Responsibilities:Production & Operations Management:

• Plan, organize, and control manufacturing operations to meet production targets.
• Monitor mould base manufacturing processes like milling, grinding, drilling, and assembly.
• Ensure the optimum utilization of manpower, machines (VMC, CNC, grinders, etc.), and materials.
• Drive process improvements for better productivity and efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure product quality as per the specified standards.
• Coordinate with the QC department for inspection and testing of mould base components.
• Address any production or quality-related issues.

Maintenance & Resource Planning:

• Plan preventive maintenance schedules of machines and tools.
• Ensure availability of consumables, raw materials (plates, standard parts), and tooling.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for inventory management.

Team Management:

• Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• Train and motivate the shop floor team for skill enhancement and high performance.
• Manage shift schedules and allocate work.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure workplace safety and adherence to health and safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Cost & Efficiency Management:

• Monitor and control operational costs.
• Minimize rework, scrap, and wastage.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with design, sales, and dispatch teams for smooth order execution.
• Prepare daily/weekly production and performance reports for management review.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge of mould base manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen / 5S practices is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
