About the role:


Azure DevOps Engineer


Key Responsibilities:


1. DevOps & Automation:


  • Design, build, and maintain

    CI/CD pipelines

    using Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with

    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

    tools like ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Implement configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet (if required).


2. Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)


  • Deploy, manage, and monitor

    Azure cloud resources

    (VMs, AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, etc.).
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of applications hosted on Azure.
  • Optimize cloud resources for

    cost management and performance tuning

    .


3. Containerization & Orchestration:


  • Work with

    Docker

    containers and manage orchestration using

    Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

    .
  • Set up container registries, automated deployments, and rolling upgrades.


4. Security & Compliance:


  • Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes.
  • Integrate security testing tools (SAST, DAST) into pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.


5. Monitoring & Logging:


  • Set up centralized logging and monitoring using

    Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Grafana/Prometheus

    .
  • Build dashboards and alerts for proactive issue resolution.


6. Collaboration & Support:


  • Work closely with

    developers, testers, and system admins

    to streamline release management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Document processes, architectures, and runbooks for future reference.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Computer Science, IT, or related field

    (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–6 years of experience in

    DevOps / Cloud Engineering

    with at least 2+ years in

    Azure DevOps

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts)

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    Azure cloud services

    (App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Networking, Security).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (

    PowerShell, Bash, Python

    ).
  • Experience with

    IaC tools

    : ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform.
  • Knowledge of

    CI/CD best practices

    , Git branching strategies, and release management.
  • Experience with

    Docker & Kubernetes

    (preferably AKS).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with

    Agile / Scrum methodologies

    .


Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:


  • Microsoft Certified:

    Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

    or

    Azure Administrator Associate

    .
  • Knowledge of

    Linux and Windows administration

    .
  • Experience with

    monitoring tools

    (Datadog, ELK, Splunk).
