Core HR functions for the US workforce
, including onboarding, employee relations, HR documentation, compliance, payroll coordination, and consultant management. The ideal candidate should have basic exposure to US recruitment but must be strong in
core HR operations, HR support, compliance, and employee lifecycle management for US employees/consultants
.This is a full-time onsite role located in
Magarpatta, Pune
, supporting US HR activities during US business hours (night shift).
Key Responsibilities
- Core HR Operations (Primary Responsibility)
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle for US-based consultants/employees.
- Handle onboarding formalities, preparing HR documentation, new hire packets, and employee setup.
- Collect, verify, and maintain HR compliance documents required for US staffing.
- Manage employee records, contracts, amendments, timekeeping details, and HR files.
- Payroll & Timesheet Coordination
- Ensure timely collection of timesheets from consultants.
- Coordinate with US payroll and finance teams for payment processing.
- Manage attendance issues, time discrepancies, and approval follow-ups.
- Employee Relations & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for US consultants regarding HR queries, policy clarifications, and issue resolution.
- Conduct periodic check-ins with consultants to ensure retention and engagement.
- Address concerns related to onboarding, pay cycles, project issues, and documentation.
- Compliance & HR Documentation
- Work with consultants and vendors to ensure collection of I-9 documents, W4, insurance forms, background checks, and other US-specific compliance documents.
- Ensure adherence to US labor laws, client requirements, and audit standards.
- Maintain data accuracy across HRIS tools, spreadsheets, and ATS.
- Recruitment Support (Secondary Function)
- Assist the US recruitment team with basic sourcing, screening, and coordination when required.
- Post jobs, share candidate updates, and support resume submissions.
- Understand US tax terms (W2, 1099, C2C) and work authorizations (USC, GC, H1B, OPT, CPT, EAD).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in US HR / US core HR (experience in US staffing industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of US HR documentation, onboarding, compliance, and payroll support.
- Knowledge of US work authorizations, immigration documents, tax forms, and HR processes.
- Good understanding of US time zones and employee management norms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation, follow-up, and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable working in night shifts (US hours).
- Ability to multitask and handle high-volume HR operations.
