Position: On Grid Inverter Embedded Software Engineer (IMS1215FT RM 3730)
Job Purpose
Embedded Firmware developer will know complete knowhow of Solar Inverter working and its principles. The person should be well aware of basics of Inverter design such as Sine wave generation, Battery charging, buck boost topology algorithms etc. Should be well versed with different platforms such as (8/16/32 bit microcontroller platform such as STM-32,Espressif, Renesas, TI etc.) Have complete knowledge on Embedded C and communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, RS485. Shall work closely with Hardware and mechanical team for product design such as Solar On Grid ,Off grid Hybrid Inverter (Up to 10 KW single and three phase) , Battery Management System
Applied Activities
- Design architecting in firmware design for power electronics in automotive domain.
- Design architecting Embedded Software dev (8/16/32 bit microcontroller platform such as STM-32, Espress if etc.) Embedded C and communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.
- Experience in High Voltage DC applications, PI control.
- Trouble Shooting/Debugging 32 bit Targets using debugger and handson with data analyser and CAN.
- Ability to guide firmware developers and lead the team.
- Good hold on System understanding of green Energy industrial product (such as Motor control , DC-DC converters, Inverters , UPS , on/Off grid PV inverter, Battery Management System
- Ensure that designs meet domestic and global market Grid regulations.
- Ensure compliance of designs to Functional Safety guidelines and standards.
- Update and contribute to the company know-how on Grid side regulations and best practices
- Support testing engineers to validate products
- Create digital model of the design for system validation.
KPIs
- Ensure design is as per product requirement.
- Innovative designs and IP generation.
- Projects delivered as per Q, C, D, S parameters.
- Ensure regulation compliance of all designs.
- Create a clear procedure to ensure compliance of new designs
- Quality and performance of design to be ensured.
Key Challenges
- Embedded Software dev (8/16/32 bit microcontroller platform such as STM-32,Espressif , Renesas, TI, etc)
- Calculation, simulation and validation of Firmware / Software Code .
- Communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, RS 485
- Close cooperation and support to HW, MCH and PCB designers
- Work on innovative design for new ON/Off Grid PV Inverter.

Relevant Experience & Duration
- ON/OFF Grid System firmware design (500W-10KW) : 8-10 years
- Simulation : 3-5 years
Skills And Capabilities
- Hand on experience on Embedded Software dev (8/16/32 bit microcontroller platform such as STM-32, Espressif etc. ) for On/OFF grid PV Inverter .
- Good experience in communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, UART
- Experience in handling test equipment like oscilloscope, Power Analyzers, Power-meters, Data loggers, simulators ,Power Supply etc.
- Knowledge and experience in functional safety for High Voltage applications.
- Knowledge in high voltage equipment testing
- Excellent people, communication and team working skills.
