This position involves supervising and leading a team of nurses, coordinating patient care, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Supervision: Supervise a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the delivery of patient care.2. Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care activities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.3. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.4. Staff Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing training and professional development programs for the nursing team. Ensure staff members are competent in their roles, up-to-date with clinical practices, and equipped with the necessary skills to provide exceptional patient care.5. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and documentation requirements. Monitor documentation accuracy, completeness, and timeliness to maintain accurate patient records and support billing processes.6. Patient and Family Engagement: Foster positive relationships with patients and their families. Address patient concerns, provide education on managing health conditions, and ensure patient satisfaction with the home healthcare services provided.7. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Promote effective communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge sharing among team members to enhance patient care outcomes.8. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for patients and staff members. Train the team on emergency response procedures and ensure the availability and functionality of necessary emergency equipment.9. Performance Management: Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance issues in a timely and constructive manner. Recognize and reward outstanding performance and provide coaching and support for improvement.Requirements:- Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent nursing certification in the relevant jurisdiction.- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.- Previous experience in home healthcare or a similar supervisory role is desirable.- In-depth knowledge of home healthcare regulations, clinical practices, and documentation requirements.- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical record (EMR) software.- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules.- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols.- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
