Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Alert Monitoring & Triage: Continuously monitor infrastructure alerts using tools such as Nagios, Site24x7 and other associated product alerts and Perform initial assessments to determine the severity and impact of alerts.
• Incident Escalation: Classify and escalate incidents to appropriate teams (e.g., Network, Database, Application and infra team) based on predefined severity levels and SLAs.
• Communication & Coordination: Act as the first point of contact for alert notifications. Communicate effectively with internal teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Log all incidents and actions taken in the ticketing system (Zendesk). Generate daily/weekly reports on alert trends and incident resolutions.
• Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with technical teams to identify the root causes of recurring issues and assist in implementing preventive measures.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on monitoring tools and processes to enhance alert accuracy and reduce false positives.
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure monitoring or a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Site24x7, Nagios etc ).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk).
• Basic understanding of networking, servers, and databases.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations.
