Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful New Vendor Developer to join our procurement and supply chain team. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and on boarding new vendors and suppliers that align with our quality, cost, and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our supplier base, enhancing sourcing strategies, and ensuring consistent supply for our production operations. Key Responsibilities: Vendor Identification: Proactively research and identify new suppliers/vendors for raw materials, equipment, and services that meet quality and compliance standards. On boarding & Evaluation: Assess vendor capabilities, negotiate terms, and oversee the on boarding process, including documentation, certifications, and sample evaluation. Sourcing Strategy: Support the development of long-term sourcing strategies that ensure cost efficiency, quality assurance, and supply continuity. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing vendors to foster collaboration and performance alignment. Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor sourcing activities to identify new opportunities or risks. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with production, quality assurance, finance, and logistics teams to ensure supplier capabilities match operational requirements. Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure all new vendors adhere to company policies, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or others. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, vendor development, or supply chain management. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred. Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to assess vendor capabilities from a technical and operational perspective. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and vendor management tools. Knowledge of quality control standards and certification requirements (e.g., ISO, RoHS). Goal-oriented with a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing. Expertise in vendor development.
