Job Description

As Senior Equipment & Advanced Technology Engineer, you will lead the strategic identification, design, and deployment of automation solutions while partnering with global teams to transform manual processes across the organization. In addition to serving as a technical authority and change agent, you will directly lead and develop a team of engineers focused on automation initiatives. This role requires substantial expertise in advanced automation technologies, equipment integration, cross-functional project leadership, and team management to maximize operational efficiency, productivity, and safety.

  • Lead and develop a team of automation engineers, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management to deliver high-impact automation projects.
  • Champion organization-wide initiatives to assess, prioritize, and automate manual processes using advanced technologies.
  • Develop and drive automation strategy, aligning solutions with business objectives and future technology roadmaps.
  • Evaluate, select, and oversee integration of state-of-the-art equipment, robotics, control systems, and IoT solutions.
  • Direct complex, multi-site automation projects from concept through successful implementation, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, IT, safety, and maintenance to ensure effective collaboration and adoption.
  • Author and review technical documentation, business cases, and executive-level presentations.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement of automation platforms.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Monitor automation KPIs, drive data-driven decision making, and ensure sustained value realization.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Progressive experience in automation engineering, equipment integration, and project management within a manufacturing or industrial context.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale automation projects and technology deployments.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Deep knowledge of automation systems (robotics, PLCs, machine vision, IoT, advanced sensors) and integration practices.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and influential leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CAD, simulation tools, and automation programming languages (e.g., Python, Ladder Logic).
  • Prior exposure to digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing initiatives.
  • Advanced understanding of safety regulations and risk management practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, technology-driven environment and drive organizational change.
