Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The National Sales Head, India is responsible for ensuring that the commercial objectives are consistently met for India, one of the key markets for the Company.

This position will be responsible for driving all aspects of GTM strategy for India and will represent Company's values in dealings with all its internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to possessing superior commercial acumen and customer orientation, the position requires a high degree of cross-functional leadership and organizational skills to leverage the Company's strong and consistently growing Operations and Engineering footprint in India.

Leverages the Company's Regional and Global footprint to grow Company's brand value and business in India.

End-to-End commercial responsibility for India from prospecting potential customers to securing enquiries, converting those to orders, managing customer during delivery, and finally cash collection.

Develops and executes Key Account Management Plan for India.

Partners with other functional stakeholders in the Company to deliver customer satisfaction throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.

Attracts, recruits, develops, and retains key talent in the sales team.

Sets high performance standards and a robust performance measurement system for the sales team.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Master Degree or equivalent degree in Engineering, business administration, marketing.
  • A combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least ten years experience working in a leadership role in general management required.
  • Experience working for a multi-national organization preferred.
  • Fluent in oral and written English required.
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically, regionally, and internationally at least twenty-five percent 25 % of the time.
  • Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the Company's goals
  • Identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions and takes prompt corrective measures to eliminate them.
  • Addressing matters through thoughtful observation, systematic analysis drawing logical conclusions to solve problems.
  • Has a strategic perspective of the business; can understand the critical interdependencies across business functions and analyze the long-term and short-term consequences of decisions.
  • Holds a comprehensive understanding of the drivers of growth, profitability, and cash flow; financial statements, key performance measures with an understanding of the implications of decision making on value creation.
  • Possess the ability to analyze and synthesize market and competitive data, a deep understanding of the customers business objectives and purchasing criteria, and appreciates the value of each customer to the Company.
  • The ability to make timely and effective decisions; escalates decisions only if unable to make decision effectively; owns decision when executed; collaborates as required
