National Sales Head (General Trade), Retail Business

As a General Trade GTM Manager, your role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive General Trade Marketing (GTM) across India. You will have P&L responsibility for the channel and be responsible for driving sales and distribution through effective Below The Line (BTL) execution. Operational excellence in General trade sales will be crucial, along with increasing coverage according to the GTM strategy by brand. Your responsibilities will also include: - Managing distributors to ensure distribution in targeted outlets, focusing on ROI and AR, and driving them as per contract terms. - Building and developing a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Business Development Managers (BDMs), Business Development Executives (BDEs), and Sales Officers (SOs). - Establishing a Business Associate (BA) network for the region with allocated manpower. - Reviewing and planning by market and channel to drive business growth effectively. In terms of financial responsibilities, you will be accountable for market and Debtors" Book (DB) recovery, controlling the cost to sales ratio for on-ground manpower, managing the cost to sales for BTL activities, and ensuring the financial hygiene of channel partners. You should have relevant experience in a similar role or at a regional level, be goal-oriented, proactive, and have a self-driven attitude. Prior experience in the FMCG sector is mandatory, along with strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making. Additionally, you should possess excellent people management, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.,
