Summary

We are looking for a talented and innovative Mechanical Engineer with 3D and medical devices to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing intricate 3D models for medical device components and systems. This role requires expertise in 3D CAD software and a thorough understanding of the medical device industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Modelling and Design: Utilize advanced 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) to design and develop detailed models of medical device components and systems.

• Prototyping and Simulation: Create prototypes using additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies. Conduct simulations and analysis (FEA, CFD) to test and validate designs.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant medical device regulations and standards, including ISO 13485, FDA guidelines, and CE marking requirements.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, test protocols, and compliance reports. Ensure all records are accurate and meet regulatory requirements.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other system components.

• Project Management: Manage design projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and address issues related to the mechanical design of medical devices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on 3D modelling and medical device development.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). Experience with medical device prototyping and manufacturing, particularly 3D printing technologies.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards (ISO 13485, FDA, CE marking).

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with medical device risk management and usability engineering.

• Familiarity with advanced additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies and materials.

• Experience in project management and leadership roles.

• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing if any.

•Candidate will primarily be working in Vidyaranyapura & Mathikere, Bengaluru.

•He/she should be open to:

o Travel within or outside of Bengaluru for work

o Work in rotational day/night shifts depending upon the need of the project.
