Job Description

The Marketplace Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing online sales channels across various e-commerce marketplaces (such as Myntra, Nykaa, Firstcry, Ajio, Amazon etc.). This role involves driving sales growth, ensuring product listings are accurate and optimized, managing inventory levels, analyzing performance data, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to align strategies.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of online marketplaces, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute marketing strategies that maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Strategy & Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize product listings, pricing, and promotions on various marketplaces.
  • Monitor marketplace performance and KPIs, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
  • Stay updated with marketplace policies, algorithm changes, and trends to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.
  • Product Listing & Optimization:
  • Create and manage high-quality product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, images, and keywords.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize product titles, bullet points, and descriptions for better visibility and search rankings.
  • Collaborate with the content and creative teams to enhance product imagery and presentation.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels across marketplaces to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and fulfillment teams to ensure timely replenishment and order processing.
  • Implement strategies for managing slow-moving inventory and seasonal demand fluctuations.
  • Pricing & Promotions:
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to establish competitive pricing strategies.
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including deals, discounts, and sponsored ads, to drive sales.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotions, making adjustments as needed.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze sales data and marketplace performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on marketplace performance, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize marketplace strategies.
  • Customer Experience & Support:
  • Monitor customer reviews and feedback, addressing issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve marketplace-related inquiries and issues.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the customer experience on marketplaces.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align marketplace strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors, including marketplace account managers and advertising agencies.
  • Participate in product launch planning and execution across marketplaces.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing e-commerce marketplaces (Myntra, Nykaa, Firstcry, Ajio, Amazon etc.).
  • Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, SEO, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in using marketplace management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central and other marketplace platforms.
  • Knowledge of online retail operations, including inventory management and fulfillment processes.
  • Experience with pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and other digital marketing tactics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
