Department : Stores & Inventory Location : Chennai Experience : 2-3 Years Industry Preference: [Manufacturing / Retail / FMCG / Pharma / etc.] Job Purpose:To ensure effective stock control and material management through systematic audits, reconciliation, and compliance with company policies. The role will ensure accuracy in stock records, minimize material losses, and enhance the efficiency of stores operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Stock Audit: Conduct regular and surprise stock audits across warehouses and stores. Verify physical stock vs. system stock (ERP/SAP/Tally). Investigate variances, report findings, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure adherence to stock handling and documentation protocols. Coordinate with internal/external auditors and support audit requirements. 2. Stores & Inventory Management: Oversee receipts, storage, and dispatch of materials. Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles are followed. Maintain accurate inventory levels and reordering points. Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory. Ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entry and documentation. 3. Material Planning & Control: Work with procurement and production teams to forecast material needs. Ensure optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Track consumption patterns and suggest improvements. Assist in material requirement planning (MRP). 4. System & Compliance: Ensure ERP/system data accuracy and timely updates. Maintain proper records as per statutory and company norms. Support monthly/quarterly/yearly closing processes for inventory. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and audit standards. Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations. Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.). Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills. Eye for detail and high degree of accuracy. Strong coordination and communication skills. Knowledge of ISO, GMP, or other relevant standards (if applicable). Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics / Engineering.
