Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis & Test Planning:
Review and analyze software requirements to design detailed and structured test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
Manual Test Execution:
Conduct functional, regression, UI, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring coverage across multiple platforms.

Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, ensuring clear reproduction steps and accurate statuses.

Test Documentation:
Maintain and update test artifacts—such as test plans, test cases, checklists, and test reports—to facilitate traceability and transparency.

Agile Participation:
Actively engage in Agile/scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to align testing efforts with development cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to clarify requirements, replicate issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Risk & Impact Analysis:
Evaluate the implications of new features and changes on existing functionality to prioritize testing effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

2–3 years of focused
manual testing
experience across web and/or mobile applications.

Proficiency in formalizing test documentation—test plans, cases, checklists, and test reports.

Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla with strong defect logging and tracking capabilities.

Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, and familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows.

Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with
API testing tools
such as Postman or SOAP UI for manual verification of backend services.
Exposure to
SQL or basic database validation
techniques
Familiarity with
mobile testing
(iOS/Android) and using device debugging tools such as ADB or Charles Proxy.
ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
