Manager / Senior Manager : Commercial (Contracts & Procurement)

Job Responsibilities

• Set up Commercial Department and independently Lead end-to-end procurement, tendering, and contract management processes in strict adherence to organization's policies, SOPs, and statutory guidelines.
• Well versed with Government E Marketplace (GeM) and n-Procure procedures, documentation and handling end to end procurement cycle.
• Ensure proper tender preparation, evaluation, and vendor selection as per latest procurement guidelines and BQC.
• Source quality materials and services at optimal techno-commercial terms, aligning with operational and project requirements.
• Prepare and review commercial documents, agreements, and proposals ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, contractors, and service providers to achieve cost-effective and favorable outcomes.
• Conduct cost estimation, price bid evaluation, and negotiations for cost optimization.
• Develop and Strengthen vendor database through systematic identification, evaluation, and registration of qualified and reliable suppliers.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery timelines, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with contracts and new initiatives.
• Coordinate ordering, goods receipt, and timely vendor payments.
• Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance of procurement activities as per IMS and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors for compliance and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• 
  Lead cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency improvement programs across procurement operations.

Skill & Experience

Experience in Commercial (Contracts & Procurement) operations, statutory, and compliance roles (preferably in Society/Trust/Not-for-Profit/Projects sector organizations).

• 
  Preferably, Certifications in Procurement, Commercial Management, or Public Procurement (e.g., Gujarat Public Procurement (GPP) certification, Gujarat State Tendering & Procurement Program, or equivalent) required.
• Effective communication, drafting, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of statutory obligations: Trusts Act, Societies Registration Act, FCRA, Labour Laws, GST, and Income Tax compliance.
• Knowledge of contract management, project agreements, and commercial documentation.
• Proficient in financial analysis and data interpretation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good liaison and coordination skills with government departments and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Tally.

1. Above-mentioned position is purely on contract basis and can be extended based on performance and project requirement.
