Your Impact
As Manager in Security Operations & Resilience, South Asia, you will be based in Mumbai, overseeing security operations in our India offices and centers, as well as our office in Sri Lanka and client service in the rest of South Asia (ex-Pakistan).Part of the India office and centers complex, you will have local reporting lines as well as to our global firm Security team. This team is responsible for ensuring that the firm is resilient and firm members safe & secure. Programs within firm Security’s portfolio include incident management; travel safety; physical security; event security and protection of our people in all their work contexts.Managing an India-based team, you will execute global programs with accountability to India office and center leadership as well as firm Security. You will oversee the local implementation of global study/travel safety programs including our Women’s Ground Transport Safety program. You will be responsible for ensuring workplaces are compliant with safety and security requirements, and for monitoring dashboards to track compliance. You will ensure our workplaces’ site recovery and contingency plans are fit for purpose, especially plans for no-notice risks such as earthquakes (our “Baseline Plus” plans) as well as our seasonal heightened readiness plans.You will see to it that our local Security Coordinators are adequately supported; and that our security vendor pool is suitably managed. As with all managers, you will lead the response to incidents and mitigate complex threats & hazards in the sub-region. You will triage and quality control responses to questions coming into the firm Security team email, as well as maintaining and ensuring the quality of data being inputted into team systems.Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to the team’s knowledge and capabilities, and to develop and train junior team members. To be truly impactful in this role, you will need to have a high degree of internal connectivity including with Office Location Managers, Center leads, and function managers from areas such as PD, Office Services, Finance and HR. You will also need to be highly networked with geographic peers especially in professional services firms, hotels and OSAC networks.Your work will directly contribute to keeping our people safe in all the contexts in which they operate, thereby helping enable the firm to provide impact to clients.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (security studies, risk management, business administration, or related field)
- 7+ years’ experience in a security or project management role and typically 2+ years’ at a manager level
- Expertise and experience in India / South Asia, and able to serve as a go-to for the sub-region
- Able to independently conduct / supervise inquiry on risks, threats, hazards; assessments for events, studies; manage mitigations; prepare / QC incident comms
- Advanced incident management and/or program leadership skills. Digitally literate. Cyber literate. Data literate
- Values, develops, utilizes external networks
- Excellent organizational abilities, including ability to initiate tasks independently and see them to completion
- Able to lead problem solving; proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
- Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables
- Exceptional time management skills: ability to work outside core hours or take on projects with limited notice. Able to embrace challenges & ambiguity. Collaborative and inclusive; open to giving/receiving feedback; values-driven
