About the Role

We are looking for a highly disciplined, process-oriented Manager - Logistics to lead and manage all logistical operations across event projects. The ideal candidate must understand the importance of structure, timelines, documentation, safety, and accountability. Key Responsibilities

Timely Dispatch

Ensure equipment is dispatched from the warehouse as per project schedules.

Build and enforce dispatch timelines, pre-checks, and approval workflows.

Manpower Planning

Assess labour requirements for loading/unloading.

Coordinate with warehouse, transport vendors, and project teams.

Load & Capacity Management

Plan equipment load based on weight, volume, and permissible limits.

Prevent overloading and ensure balanced weight distribution.

Safety & Damage Prevention

Ensure correct padding, stacking, and securing of equipment.

Follow transport safety regulations and internal equipment safety standards.

Documentation & Compliance

Prepare challans, packing lists, gate passes, permits, and compliance documents.

Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready records.

Transit Planning

Plan routes, tolls, parking guidelines, and driver instructions.

Monitor vehicle movement and ensure adherence to planned routes.

Emergency Protocols

Implement SOPs for breakdowns, accidents, delays, and unexpected challenges.

Act as the escalation point for all logistics-related incidents.

Communication & Updates

Ensure drivers and staff provide timely updates.

Maintain a real-time logistics log for every dispatch.

Fuel & Log Management

Track fuel usage, receipts, and odometer readings.

Maintain accurate logs of travel, load timings, and operational hours.

Return & Inventory Reconciliation

Oversee return logistics post-event.

Match returned equipment with dispatch lists and report discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in logistics (preferably in events, production, or transport operations).

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, vehicle load management, and transport regulations.

• Ability to create documentation, checklists, SOPs, and operational trackers.
• Skilled in staff management, vendor coordination, and team leadership.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (Excel, Sheets, reporting dashboards).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
