Role Overview
The role will be primarily responsible for providing top level support for the Secure Desktop application. It will also include desktop engineering, GPO, and Operating System Image development services. You will work alongside App Services, Deployment Services, Applications Owners, the Core Applications group, and Information Security as part of the global client computing environment.The expected outcome will include driving excellence in user experience.The role requires leveraging industry leading tools and processes to provide high quality, reliable, and cost-effective desktop management services to global employees.
What Will You Do In This Role
- Maintain and support multiple versions of Visual Automation Secure Desktop including the following activities
- Execution of IQ Test Protocol for pre-configured Secure Desktop V12 (Win 10, Win 11)
- Support and maintenance of Secure Desktop V10 & V12
- Deployment and Configuration
- License management
- Vendor relationship management
- SDLC documentation (Admin Guide, CS, WI for installation, IQ Test Protocol)
- Performance Management
- Knowledge Management
- Perform Incident Management activities
- Additional Engineering requirements
- Understand Microsoft Configuration Manager Operating System Deployment (OSD) using Task Sequences
- Design Windows deployment strategies
- Manage, test, and deploy Group Policies
- Respond to all incoming requests for new or changes to Group Policy
- Manage priorities, timelines, and communicate with all necessary parties through deployment process
- Document the environment in a customer facing format
- Create and maintain all SDLC documentation
- 3rd-Level support and identification of root cause with strategic solutions (requests/CPRs/outages)
- Working with the latest technologies
- Research and master new technologies quickly
- Provide technical guidance and implementation
- Work closely with various teams and stakeholders such as Infrastructure, Patching & Deployment Services, Applications Owners, Directory Services, and Information Security teams
- Ensure adherence to global standards, policies, and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Collaborate across IT and business areas to develop and implement new processes that help maintain the company’s computing environment
What Should You Have
- 4+ years practical experience deploying and supporting Secure Desktop
- 4+ years practical experience with the following Microsoft technologies Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Group Policy, Configuration Manager Current Branch
- Strong technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of the following
- Microsoft Windows client operating systems
- Microsoft Intune
- Active Directory Domain Services (AD/DS)
- Group Policy
- Azure Active Directory (AAD/Entra)
- Dynamic Groups
- Privileged Identity Management
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Configuration Service Providers (CSP)
- Microsoft Intune
- Configuration Profiles
- Windows Autopilot
- Hybrid Azure AD Join
- Intune Apps (Win32 packaging)
- PowerShell Scripting
- Ability to document and maintain Standard Operation Procedures, Work Instructions, and System Development Lifecycle Management
- Conceptual knowledge of Office 365 suite and other Microsoft cloud services
- Fluency in reading/writing/speaking English
