About the role:

The HR Systems Operations Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of HR systems and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support and services across the HR function. This role leads a team that executes critical processing tasks, drives operational excellence, and partners across HR and the business to enhance the associate experience through technology and process innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday HCM, managing projects, driving process improvements and a keen eye for detail and optimization.

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of HR Systems Operations by ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient services

  • Establish and maintain operational best practices that drive accuracy, consistency, and governance.

  • Oversee capacity planning, prioritize team workload, and ensure timely execution of critical tasks

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HR systems and processes

  • Ensure alignment with evolving business needs and HR strategies by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance system capabilities, and improve the associate experience

  • Champion innovation and operational excellence through proactive system enhancements and process redesign

  • Develop and enforce governance standards to ensure data and process integrity, compliance, and system security

  • Monitor SLA performance, volume trends, and exception handling; provide actionable insights to leadership to support data-driven decision-making

  • Build trust-based partnerships with COEs, HRSAs, and HRSPs to ensure support of defined programs; act as liaison for HRS Operations to other areas of the business

  • Provide consultative support to HR and business leaders on complex operational challenges and recommend scalable solutions

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support the successful adoption of new processes, system enhancements, and functionality

  • Effectively communicate and operationalize major changes to ensure seamless integration into daily operations and long-term value realization

  • Coach, develop, and empower team members to achieve performance goals and grow professionally

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact issues

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Workday HCM, with demonstrated knowledge of Workday core concepts and business processes, including basic configuration and functional workflows across key HR modules

  • 5-7 years of experience leading HR operations or production support teams, managing performance and developing talent

  • Strong process optimization skills, aligning systems and operations to business strategies

  • Capacity planning and workload prioritization skills

  • Project management and change management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
