SUMMARY
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Manager HR Operations (Compliance) to lead critical HR functions within our established Slag Management and Metal Recovery operations based in Kolkata. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust compliance frameworks, seamless employee lifecycle management, and alignment with industrial relations standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR operations, compliance processes, and experience within industrial environments such as metal recovery, mining, or material handling. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape HR strategies that support operational excellence and regulatory adherence across a dynamic, high-performance organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Design, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead process optimization and documentation for HR operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Serve as a key liaison between management, employees, and regulatory bodies on compliance and industrial relations matters.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and maintain up-to-date employee records and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into operational workflows and HR practices.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • 8 10 years of progressive experience in HR Operations with a strong focus on Compliance and Employee Lifecycle Management.
  • MBA in HR or equivalent qualification with a proven track record in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Prior industry exposure in metal recovery, slag processing, mining contracting, material handling, or earthmoving operations.
  • In - depth understanding of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance (e.g., PF, ESIC, EPFO, Shops & Offices Act), and industrial relations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and process improvement skills with proficiency in HRIS and digital documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
