BD Manager

Job Title:

BD Manager

Location

Estimation & Tendering

Reporting to: VP BD

Key Responsibilities

Tender Management:

Lead end-to-end tendering process for S&T projects—scrutinizing tender documents, preparing bids, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely submission.

Business Development:

Identify new business opportunities in Indian Railways, PSUs, and Metro projects. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Technical & Commercial Expertise:

Understand project lifecycles including feasibility, design, BOQ, costing, and commissioning. Analyze pricing strategies and ensure competitive, compliant bids.

Liaison & Coordination:

Act as a liaison with Railway departments, consultants, and EPC contractors. Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, legal, finance)for bid inputs.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure all documentation aligns with tender requirements. Maintain records of past bids, pricing, and outcomes for future reference.

Competencies

Strong knowledge of

Signaling & Telecom systems

in railway infrastructureFamiliarity with

EPC contracts

, DPRs, and government procurement normsExcellent communication and presentation skills in English and HindiProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Required Skills & Experience

Education

: B.E/ B. Tech (preferably Electronics/Telecom); MBA in Marketing is a plus.

Experience

: 5 - 8 yrs years in BD, Tendering, or Sales roles in Railway infrastructure (S&T, Track, Rolling Stock).

Technical Knowledge

Familiarity with Railway project lifecycle: DPR, BOQ, Testing & Commissioning.Understanding of EPC contracts and service agreements.Proficiency in tender documentation, costing, and bid analysis.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills.Fluent in English and Hindi.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
