Job Purpose
Responsible for:
- O&M of Data CORE Network Elements like SGSN/MME, GGSN/S-PGW, PCRF, Gn & Gi DNS, CGF, CGNAT, Firewalls.
- O&M of Cloud & Cloud IP infra nodes like compute, storage, Controllers, Leaf, Spine.
- Customer delight and Hassle-free internet browsing experience i.e. minimum service disruption, early resolution of specific problem.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization of the Core network ecosystem.
- Cross Functional Coordination to understand business/ functional requirement and its delivery.
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
- Execute periodic preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure regular node Backups.
- Ensure timely system upgrades of packet core nodes.
- Traffic migration and optimisation based on report analysis
- Responsible for alarm clearance in the PACO nodes in coordination with respective functions
- Traffic report analysis and continuously work to improve KPIs.
- Coordination with Vendors/PMS/COG/other functions for KPI restoration/analysis and new node implementations.
- Must be very clear on Network Topology and Service flow Architecture.
- Resolve Complaints with in TAT.
- Ensure necessary configuration as per the requirement and unwanted configuration deletion through CODE and SNOC
- Spare inventory Management and maintenance of related database.
- Onsite support for PS –Core nodes Hardware Change.
- Provide all necessary support during new node integration and capacity expa nsions. Need to ensure service resiliency before Node Go-Live.
- Perform Trace analysis and provide probable solution.
- Coordination with other operators for emergency ICR as per TRAI guidelines and ensure Periodic testing of Intra Circle Roaming.
- Ensure Periodic Data Barring testing (eKYC/DKYC)
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
- In depth knowledge on 2G/3G/4G/LTE network.
- In-depth understanding and hands on working experience on data core nodes like SGSN/MME, GGSN/PGW, PCRF, DNS etc
- Command level knowledge for Trouble shooting PS core issues and capturing different traces/logs.
- Conceptually Very Clear on all types of Data Call Flows including inter-working with IOT, VoLTE. VoWiFi & Voice Core Domain Nodes.
- Basic understanding of Cloud, IP Routing, IP Routing Protocols.
- Having Good Trace Analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of traffic monitoring tools and troubleshooting tool like wire shark.
- Good knowledge of various protocols like SCCP, GTP, MAP, Diameter, SSH etc.
- Should be Good team player and have good communication skills.
- Positive Attitude towards problem solving, learning new things and adaptive to changes.
- Analytical, Reasoning and logical thinking skills
- Knowledge in cloud architecture will be an added advantage
Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
- BE/B Tech (Electronics and Telecommunications) with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
