Job Description

Role Purpose:
To ensure smooth operation and high uptime of PV Cell production equipment by leading the maintenance team, driving preventive & breakdown maintenance, implementing automation solutions, and supporting continuous improvement projects with focus on cost, quality, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage maintenance teams, ensuring timely breakdown troubleshooting and continuous improvements.

Review and submit daily maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, MTTF) to reporting manager.

Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure effective execution.

Review and manage transparent shift schedules and manpower deployment.

Ensure availability and effective management of spare parts for maximum equipment uptime.

Prepare and deliver training modules for OJT and classroom training of team members.

Drive Daily Review Meetings (DRM) and prepare activity outlines for cluster-level maintenance.

Deliver continuous improvement projects: 3–5 Kaizens annually at individual level and 25–30 from the team.

Implement energy conservation (ECON) initiatives and cost-saving projects.

Maintain manpower efficiency and control attrition in assigned clusters.

Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets in alignment with AOP.

Technical Competencies

Breakdown & Automation:

Strong in field automation and troubleshooting using RCA tools (Why-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, Fault Tree).
Skilled in PLC, SCADA, HMI, Drives, AGV, networking, and PCB troubleshooting.
Capable of robot operations, teaching, vision calibration, and maintenance.

Mechanical Discipline:

Expertise in lubrication, bearing types, gears, alignment, and spare part management.
Skilled in PU material welding, machine drawing interpretation, and vacuum/booster/magnetic diaphragm pump servicing.
Knowledge of wire mesh belt cleaning processes.

Electrical / Electronics Discipline:

Proficient in electrical SLD drawings, MFCs, transmitters, proximity sensors, encoders, calibration.
Hands-on with field instruments and system integration.

Documentation & Compliance:

Knowledge of ISO, TPM pillars, PM check sheets, calibration record keeping.
Skilled in preparation of OPL, SOP, and technical documentation using MS Office tools.

Budgeting & Vendor Management:

Experience in preparing and monitoring maintenance budgets.
Skilled in vendor technical review (TR) preparation, cost control, and repair-focused initiatives.

Behavioral Competencies

Strong leadership with team development focus.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Continuous improvement mindset with Kaizen and TPM approach.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
Relevant experience of 5-10 years
Hands-on experience with TPM, RCA tools, automation systems, and maintenance cost optimization.
