Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotics & Automation Department: Maintenance / Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2–6 Years Industry: Automotive / Manufacturing / Industrial Automation Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in robotic assembly equipment and automation systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and ensuring optimal performance of robotic systems, drives, sensors, and auxiliary electrical components. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly lines to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Maintain maintenance logs and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in robotic systems. Troubleshoot PLCs and resolve inter-PLC communication failures. 3. Vision System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection systems to support quality assurance on the assembly line. Calibrate and optimize system performance regularly. 4. Drive Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens and SEW drives used in various automation equipment. Conduct performance checks and replace/repair faulty components as required. 5. Sensing Devices: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and other sensing devices for process control and safety. Ensure sensors are correctly integrated with control systems. 6. Electrical Hoists: Maintain, inspect, and repair electrical hoists and lifting systems. Conduct load testing and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering. 2–6 years of relevant experience in maintenance of automation and robotic equipment. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley preferred). Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) is an advantage. Hands-on experience with VFDs and servo drive systems. Familiarity with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). Good understanding of industrial safety practices and standards. Preferred Attributes: Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts. Strong documentation and reporting skills.
