Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotic & Automation Systems Department: Maintenance / Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2–6 Years Industry: Automotive / Manufacturing / Industrial Automation Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of robotic systems, vision systems, drive systems, and related equipment in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly lines to maximize uptime and prolong equipment life. Maintain documentation of preventive maintenance activities. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose faults in robotic systems and resolve them promptly. Perform PLC troubleshooting and correct communication issues across multiple PLC platforms. 3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot industrial vision systems used for in-line quality checks. Ensure high availability and accuracy of image processing and recognition systems. 4. Drive Systems Troubleshoot and maintain Siemens Drives and SEW Eurodrive systems. Ensure drives operate efficiently to minimize production delays. 5. Sensing Devices Install and maintain sensors such as photoelectric, inductive, capacitive, and encoders. Ensure accurate functioning of sensing devices to maintain safe and reliable operations. 6. Electrical Hoists Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical hoists and lifting equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations. Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering 2–6 years of experience in maintenance of robotic and automation equipment Hands-on knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) Experience with industrial automation systems and robotic arms (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, etc.) is preferred Familiarity with vision systems (Keyence, Cognex) is an added advantage Skills Required: Troubleshooting and root cause analysis PLC logic and communication protocols Understanding of electrical schematics and circuit diagrams Knowledge of preventive maintenance tools and techniques Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work in shifts and under minimal supervision Preferred Attributes: Proactive and safety-oriented approach Good interpersonal and communication skills Team player with a continuous improvement mindset
