Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Assembly (Electrical & Automation) Department: Maintenance / Engineering Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Assembly to handle preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic assembly lines and automation systems. The role requires expertise in PLC troubleshooting, drive systems (Siemens/SEW), vision systems, and industrial sensing devices, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment life. Monitor and adjust maintenance schedules based on equipment performance data. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and automation faults in robotic systems. Troubleshoot PLCs, including communication issues between different PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.). Vision System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot machine vision systems used for product quality control. Ensure calibration and alignment of vision systems for accurate operation. Drive Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens Drives, SEW Drives, and related motion control equipment. Conduct parameter settings, fault analysis, and repairs as needed. Sensing Devices: Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial sensors (proximity, photoelectric, ultrasonic, etc.) for process control and safety. Troubleshoot faults in sensing and feedback systems. Electrical Hoists: Maintain and repair electrical hoists and lifting equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, breakdown reports, and spare part usage. Update machine histories and maintenance logs. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and comply with company and industry safety standards. Identify and mitigate any potential safety hazards during maintenance activities. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in robotic assembly and automation systems. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.). Experience with Siemens and SEW drive systems. Hands-on experience in vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, or equivalent). Proficient in troubleshooting sensors and electrical circuits. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and automation diagrams. Familiar with safety standards related to industrial automation and robotics. Soft Skills: Problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle breakdown situations efficiently. Work Model: On-site | Full-time Willingness to work in shifts if required.
