We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Executive to join our team and help us manage the end-to-end logistics operations.

Role Summary:

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the entire logistics process, from the point of origin to the final destination. This includes coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents to ensure the smooth and timely movement of goods. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of international trade regulations and a commitment to optimizing our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

• Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations for all import and export shipments.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, procurement, finance) and external partners (suppliers, customers, freight forwarders) to ensure seamless communication and execution.
• Track and manage shipments from origin to destination, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Handle all necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other customs-related paperwork.
• Vendor and Partner Coordination:
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transportation providers to negotiate competitive rates and ensure service quality.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Evaluate and select new logistics partners as needed, based on performance, cost, and service offerings.

Customs and Compliance:

1. Ensure all import and export activities comply with Indian and international trade laws and regulations.
2. Prepare and submit all required documentation for customs clearance in a timely manner.
3. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade policies that may impact the company's operations.

Cost and Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and analyze logistics costs to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including transit times, costs, and any issues encountered.
• Implement strategies to optimize shipping routes and methods.

Problem-Solving:

• Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process, such as delays, damages, or documentation errors.
• Communicate potential problems to management and stakeholders promptly and propose effective solutions.

Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in logistics, preferably within an import-export or freight forwarding company in Mumbai.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations in India.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding, shipping lines, and port operations in Mumbai.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
