Legal Manager

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:  Oversee the legal services department and ensure the team delivers high quality legal support.  Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's objectives.  Manage complex legal cases and negotiate contracts to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.  Provide expert legal advice to senior management on various regulatory and compliance matters.  Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations while maintaining best practices in legal operations.  Foster and manage relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders.  Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on industry changes and impact on the organization's operations.  Prepare and present reports on legal issues and strategies to the executive leadership team.  Supervise, mentor, and develop legal staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Essential Qualifications:  Master's degree in Law (LL.M) or equivalent legal qualification.  Strong understanding of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.  Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.  Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and motivate a team. Desired Experience:  Minimum of 13-15 years of relevant experience, ideally in a corporate setting.  Experience in managing complex legal cases and providing strategic guidance at a senior level.  Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing departmental budgets.
