The role demands strong business orientation, ethical conduct, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, review and finalize commercial contracts for India and global regions.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of CDAs (Confidential Disclosure Agreements) and NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) across geographies.
- Coordinate and ensure efficient, consistent, and compliant end-to-end contract lifecycle management as per legal and organizational standards.
- Advise and support Business Units and Functions on all aspects of business and operations;
- Collaborate with external counsel to manage litigation, ensuring timely filings and responses.
- Track regulatory updates, assess impact on business operations and ensure regulatory compliance together with cross-functional teams.
- Support internal requirements by preparing necessary documentation and responses to regulatory inquiries.
- Develop deep understanding of projects and propose legal/business risk mitigation strategies.
- Apply strategic thinking with a strong problem-solving approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputed university.
- Master of Laws from a reputed university preferred.
- Successfully cleared the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) and enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 8+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Combination of law firm experience with a reputed law firm and in-house corporate experience with a reputed organization.
- Expertise in Commercial Contract Management.
- Proven skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Hands-on experience in litigation support, including case management and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and guide stakeholders.
- Experience in managing cross-border transactions and international stakeholders.
- Prior exposure to the manufacturing or chemical industry preferred
